Bisle Ghat, Malahalli Falls Sakleshpur

Malahalli FallsBisle,on the southwest of Sakleshpura,Hassan is a dense forest area suited ideally for trekking. This has many trekking routes. The most famous among them is railway trek or famously known as Green route. On a normal day chirp of birds, gushing fresh water streams, some wild noises & many waterfalls are what one would be able to see and hear. This is one of the 18 most diverse spots in world in terms of flora and fauna.
Myself and friends wanted to go remote place with absolute silence, full with greenery and with no Human interference. After lot of discussions, we zeroed in on Bisle and took an overnight bus @10pm to Kukke Subramanya. By morning 6clk we were in Kukke and boarded a lodge which was booked. I had heard of a person(Uday 8151036344)who arranges all the trips, treks around Subramanya. Called him a week before, discussed what all i needed and where all i wanted to go and the plan was customized and tailor made for a nominal fees. Went to Temple and had the blessings of the Almighty. Vehicle was ready to take us to the majestic Malahalli Falls.

En route to falls, suddenly from nowhere, we see an awesome view point where 3 districts converge called Bisle View Point. Giri Hole flows between us and the peaks of Doddabetta, Pushpagiri etc. I saw the densest jungle in my life here and was left speechless. After taking fotos and resting for a while, we continued our journey
Beauty Spottowards the falls. This route has many trekking routes. There was chirping of birds, gushing fresh water streams, some wild noises & many waterfalls one would be able to see and hear. This is one of the 18 most diverse spots in world in terms of flora and fauna.
With roads not good and no human habitation in sight for around 35km, i started waiting to reach my end point to Malahalli falls. By 10am i was near the falls. There is a small home where we had nice food. Falls is just 3kms from this home and we decided to walk from here. Once u see the falls u have no words to explain..The sheer amount of water and force with which it flows surprises u. Play only when the water is less ie. after November..But if u want to see the falls and greenary at its best then head in monsoons. Spend ur time amongst nature, relax and unwind urself. After an hour or 2, walked back to the place where we had breakfast and had lunch. We had the option of staying ther only in the homestay, but all the rooms were booked, hence had to head back to the lodge at Kukke.

Bisle reserve forest is having the credit of some of the India's most specific rain forests. It is always suggested to trek in groups(min5).Carry water, salt(to remove leeches) and something to eat(bread, biscuits) and see that your bag is not heavy so that u don't get tired. You can get cold fresh water in lots in many of the ghat streams.
it is not suggested to trek or travel in the period monsoons as it rains heavily and there might be landslides. But you can travel or trek in monsoons at your own risk because it is during this period that this place is at its best for Nature lovers with clouds covering your surroundings and you can see many waterfalls.

Without booking, never try this journey. The person who had arranged this has the best knowledge and lets u know what is the weather and what all things can be seen. He will arrange an alternate plan if 1 of places is not reachable. They maintain a FB page where in i got in contact with them for booking.
